About The Position

The Director, Operations Finance, will serve as a key financial leader supporting DRiV’s operations organizations. This role partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Business Leadership to drive financial performance, improve cost competitiveness, and support strategic decision-making across manufacturing and distribution operations. The position will be based at DRiV’s Southfield, Michigan, location and will play a critical role in financial planning, analysis, and execution for the automotive aftermarket business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant exposure to operations/manufacturing finance
  • Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and operational finance metrics
  • Proven ability to partner with cross-functional operational teams
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or CPA/CMA
  • Automotive, aftermarket, or industrial manufacturing experience
  • Prior leadership experience managing finance teams
  • Broad background in all aspects of financial planning and analysis
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite, HFM (Hyperion Financial Management), and SAP

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to Operations leadership, providing insight and guidance on financial performance, cost structure, and operational efficiency
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for operations, including volume, cost, margin, and capital planning
  • Drive standard costing, variance analysis, and productivity initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain operations
  • Analyze operational KPIs (labor, material, overhead, inventory, freight, etc.) and translate results into actionable recommendations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction, working capital optimization, and operational excellence programs
  • Partner with plant and supply chain finance teams to ensure consistent financial processes, controls, and reporting
  • Oversee capital expenditure planning, ROI analysis, and post-investment reviews
  • Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with Tenneco financial policies and SOX requirements
  • Prepare and present financial results and insights to senior leadership
  • Lead, develop, and mentor operations finance team members
