About The Position

To oversee and direct the programs, operations, and services of the Workforce Education Center including the development and marketing of training programs for business and industry partners to support workforce needs. This position reports to the Vice President of Academic & Workforce Education of NHTI - Concords Community College.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in education, business administration, public administration, communications/PR, human resource management, or a related field.
  • Eight years' experience in program or curriculum development, corporate/business training, program/project management, and/or program/product marketing including supervisory and administrative experience.
  • None required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the programs, operations, marketing and services of the Workforce Education Center with responsibility for supervising staff and overseeing all aspects of the Centers operations.
  • Develops strategies and an implementation plan for the structure, organization, direction, policies, and services of the Workforce Education Center program.
  • Works collaboratively with CCSNH leadership, college peers, and institutional colleagues to develop a system-wide marketing, promotion, program deployment and program implementation efforts.
  • Provides educational programming and guidance to support the needs of adult learners, underrepresented populations, workforce training, and transitioning populations.
  • Fosters the creation of collaborative networks and to maintain and support government, business, industry, and education relationships locally, statewide, and regionally.
  • Serves as a liaison with business, industry, and government for the sharing of information, training, and developing workforce needs
  • Conducts on-site assessments of business and industry training needs and extends technical assistance and managerial consulting/advisement services through program development and employee training.
  • Coordinates and sponsors conferences, teleconference meetings, workshops, expositions, demonstrations, and the other activities
  • Maintains knowledge of new educational technologies to support a variety of content delivery formats.
  • Responsible for the administration of program offerings, instructor/staff recruitment, business and community relations and academic scheduling
  • Establish and develop new programming opportunities through innovative solutions with organizations
  • Maintains financial responsibility and applies an entrepreneurial mindset and approach to center management.
  • Maintains an understanding of issues and practices in human resources management such as: organizational design, self-directed work units, selection and staffing and union/labor relations.
  • Establishes Credit for Prior Learning and Competency Based Education frameworks to support student learning.
  • Integrates learning experiences in an online environment to facilitate needs.
  • Establishes community classes to meet the needs of recreational education.
  • Collaborates with Department Chairs and program coordinators on curricular offerings and new program development
  • Establish and build relationship with NHTI community to align workforce programs with academic programs as a pipeline for enrollment
  • Works with NHTI admissions office to share information and best practices for new programs.
  • Performs administrative duties associated with, maintaining a safe work environment, training employees, communicating job expectations; monitoring and appraising job performance; and managing employee time and attendance in accordance with CCSNH and College policies and procedures, the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement, and state and federal regulations.
  • Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
