About The Position
The Director of Wellness is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the nursing department within a healthcare facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, and the implementation of nursing policies and procedures that comply with regulatory standards. Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
- Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience, including at least three years in a leadership or management role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and nursing best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Nursing Administration (e.g., Nurse Executive Certification).
- Experience working in Assisted Living
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare management software.
- Experience in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff to maintain high standards and professional conduct.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care and effective communication across departments.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and budget management to ensure adequate resources and cost-effective operations.
- Monitor patient care quality metrics and implement improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Ensure ongoing staff education, training, and professional development opportunities are available and aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations, including documentation and reporting requirements.
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to organizational goals related to nursing services and patient care.
