About The Position

As Director of Visual Arts Education, you will teach, lead, and inspire — guiding a team of art educators while creating exceptional experiences for students and families.
Requirements
- BA/BFA in Visual Art, Art Education, or Design (Master’s preferred or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years teaching experience (K–12 and/or adults)
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Organized, collaborative, and energized by a busy studio environment
- Passion for contemporary art and a student-first mindset
Nice To Haves
- Digital art experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly visual art and digital design classes (K–12 and adults), plus camps and workshops
- Lead and mentor a team of art teachers
- Support student growth through observation, feedback, and family communication
- Deliver and evolve curriculum using the One River Method
- Maintain an organized, inspiring studio and digital lab
- Curate and install student exhibitions and support community events
