Essential Functions: Oversees the end-to-end design workflow for incoming requests from multiple departments, prioritizing based on business impact, deadlines, and resource availability. Manages and determines allocation and prioritization of projects among available graphic design resources, looking to maximize productivity of personnel and ensure on-time delivery of projects. Leads the creative development of new or revised stories and campaigns for assigned corporate initiatives; advises fellow designers on best practices and creative execution across various types of collateral, providing designers with guidance and technical assistance to create stronger design solutions. Works with department management to optimize process workflows involving or affecting visual arts personnel. Leads and assists in the direction and development of style guides designed to capture approved colors, fonts, layouts and other visual arts elements of specific company brands. Conceptualizes and generates templates for other graphic designers to use for future projects, ensures consistency, conformance with company standards, and maximum efficiency. Conceptualizes and generates graphic design mockups and layouts for new print projects, including but not limited to brochures, ads, catalogs, flyers, case stuffers, prescription (Rx) books, postcards, posters, and magazine articles. Updates and/or refreshes project designs as needed. Conceptualizes and generates logos and other artistic elements for wide range of company brands, entities, and customer audiences. Conceptualizes and generates graphic design content for digital marketing channels, including but not limited to websites, emails, landing pages, banner ads, social media, presentations, video graphics, and more. Ensure alignment of aesthetics with usability of various mediums. Conceptualizes, produces, and applies or delivers physical art such as vinyl, posters, signage, product packaging, gifts, and more for distribution and/or special events. Evaluates and introduces AI tools and workflows to improve delivery speed and output quality during ideation, mockup, and review phases (e.g., evaluating work against approved brief). Color-corrects, masks, and enhances or optimizes photographic or artistic images using Adobe Photoshop. Proofs and revises/approves various projects prior to printing. Links comma separated value (CSV) files to Adobe InDesign documents. Leads the organization and maintenance of electronic files and file organization on the appropriate servers. Assists with international language translation of select collateral as able. Participates in campaign development, creative brief development, and creative execution. Ensures that the quality of artwork, typography, and layout deliverables meet company brand standards. Works with channel managers to understand, optimize, and deliver visual assets in accordance with specifications and best practices for a given medium. Collaborates with relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure approval of and satisfaction with design elements. Partners closely with internal stakeholders (marketing leads, product managers, content strategists, web developers, communications, events, and C-suite executives) to translate business needs into effective visual solutions. Manages and assists in the art direction, styling, and preparation of photography sessions. Coordinates with Human Resources in a timely manner on all employee relations matters. Enforces adherence to Company policies and procedures. Manages or helps with management of software licenses (Adobe, Pantone Connect, Shutterstock, etc.) or hardware equipment maintenance and supplies (Xerox printer, Epson printer). Drives innovation by introducing new tools, processes, or design approaches that enhances efficiency and support evolving corporate initiatives (e.g., digital transformation, sustainability branding). Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate relevant advancements (e.g., AI-assisted design, motion graphics, 3D elements) to keep the in-house team agile and impactful. Promotes continuous learning on corporate tools, brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and emerging design trends relevant to the industry Hires, manages, develops, trains, reviews, and sets goals for department and staff. Develop division policies, in accordance with Company policies and procedures, as necessary. Supervises staff in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Enforces adherence to Company policies and procedures. Ensures all direct reports understand the performance standards of their department and have a clear understanding of their own individual performance. Oversees and contributes to the professional development of direct reports, striving to improve skills, ensure familiarity with emerging technology, and maximize continuing education opportunities. Acts as both coach and mentor to staff in areas of problem solving, decision making, process improvement and personal growth. Conducts performance evaluations, one-on-ones, reinforces positive behavior, and provides corrective feedback for performance issues. Leads in the development of team, department, and company strategic priorities. Ensures distribution and understanding of knowledge among assigned team members. Partners and coordinates with Human Resources in a timely manner on all employee relations matters. Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management.
