The Director of Transformer Sales & Strategy for the IPS Power Management Division will lead the national commercial strategy for the company’s Transformer portfolio. This role will drive revenue growth by deepening strategic relationships with customers, OEM partners, internal customers including for industrial growth while providing unmatched customer experience for cross-portfolio selling across the company’s full product and service offering. The Director of Transformer Sales & Strategy will establish consistency across the US and Canada in sales engagement, market cadence, and relationship management to accelerate market penetration and capture share in this critical portfolio area. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience, with a strong background in Transformers, electrical infrastructure, or large capital equipment (at an OEM, services company or customer).
  • Proven track record of developing strategic relationships with utilities, data centers, EPCs or other key buyers (industrial, etc)
  • Strong understanding of complex buying centers and cross-functional sales orchestration.
  • Excellent strategic planning, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%+

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive North America Transformer sales strategy aligned with growth targets, including new transformers, remanufacturing, repair services and field services.
  • Partner with and drive thought leadership with the Transformer leadership team, with a close business partnership with the Transformer VPGM.
  • Shape go-to-market plans and prioritize strategic investments.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key partners and customers.
  • Map and influence complex buying centers to ensure the company is positioned as a strategic partner.
  • Work across IPS sales organization to drive account planning and competitive positioning of the Transformer portfolio.
  • Partner with product line leaders to align solution strategies with Transformer customer needs.
  • Drive consistency in pricing, value proposition, and execution across all regions and products.
  • Lead the development of standardized sales playbooks and engagement models specific to Transformer customers.
  • Coordinate North American bid strategies, project pursuits, and customer engagement schedules.
  • Establish clear performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting cadence to drive accountability.
  • Partner closely with Vertical and Site sales to ensure seamless execution.
  • Influence without direct authority to align functional teams around a common strategy.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to inform product and operational strategies.
