About The Position

Campbellsville University is seeking a Director of the Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. The director will provide strategic leadership for the ongoing development, implementation, and growth of the MCMHC program. They will also lead and manage the CACREP accreditation process and oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of student learning and program outcomes data.

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a full-time faculty member within an accredited counseling program.
  • Active clinical counseling licensure in good standing with the relevant state board.
  • Demonstrated professional identity as a counselor through membership, credentials, scholarly activity, and professional service.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching, course development, advising, and program management in higher education.
  • Proficiency in digital communication, academic writing, and technology-enhanced instruction, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams), learning management systems (e.g. Moodle or Canvas), and multimedia engagement tools (e.g. VoiceThread or Zoom).
  • Ability to function collegially in a team setting and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Campbellsville University and the counseling profession.

Responsibilities

  • Refine and enhance curriculum, recruitment, and student engagement strategies
  • Provide strategic leadership for the MCMHC program
  • Lead and manage the CACREP accreditation process
  • Collaborate with the Dean in developing and monitoring program budgets, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain and update the MCMHC Student Handbook
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and effective problem-solving
  • Collaborate effectively with administration, faculty, university divisions, and professional partners
  • Represent the MCMHC program within the university’s administrative and governance structure
  • Contribute to annual and five-year strategic planning for the MCMHC program and the College of Mental Health
  • Maintain awareness of licensure requirements across states where students are enrolled
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of student learning and program outcomes data
  • Use program- and course-level data to evaluate student learning and inform curriculum or assessment revisions
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of annual CACREP outcomes reports and other institutional assessment documentation
  • Lead continuous quality improvement processes grounded in evidence-based decision-making
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership for MCMHC faculty and adjuncts
  • Conduct regular reviews of online and face-to-face courses
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified faculty and adjuncts
  • Mentor new faculty
  • Encourage and support faculty and student scholarship
  • Identify professional development needs and facilitate training opportunities
  • Address and mediate faculty, adjunct, and student conflicts and grievances
  • Complete transcript evaluations for new applicants as needed
  • Coordinate student recruitment efforts and events
  • Maintain accurate recruitment materials and oversee student orientation and residency programming
  • Develop and implement strategies that support student success, engagement, and retention
  • Participate with students in professional learning activities, conferences, and community engagement opportunities
  • Teach the equivalent of 12 academic credits annually
  • Model excellence in teaching and compliance with CACREP and programmatic standards
  • Integrate culturally competent and faith-informed content into coursework
  • Contribute to curricular innovation and master’s-level pedagogy through teaching across the program
  • Collaborate across College of Mental Health departments and serve on the college leadership team
  • Foster internal and external partnerships
  • Represent the MCMHC program and the College of Mental Health in professional and community settings
