About The Position

RAM’s Director of Testing & Validation role involves overseeing quality assurance and user acceptance for health information technology (HIT) systems, ensuring they meet standards through testing. Responsibilities include developing quality standards, tools, training, monitoring test execution, and managing strategies within the department.
An extensive background in quality assurance methodologies and procedures, along with excellent written and oral communication, problem-solving, organizational and presentation skills are required.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, including 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing enterprise QA strategy.
• Extensive experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in the payer segment (Medicare Advantage or Managed Medicaid).
• Proven expertise in modern methodologies including test automation, and risk-based testing.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks such as HIPAA and HITECH, with experience implementing quality controls to meet these standards.
• Proficiency in SQL, functional and regression testing, and testing tools and platforms.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with EDI and data privacy best practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the department, aligning quality goals with organizational objectives.
• Oversee the development and implementation of enterprise-level testing strategies, including automation, and risk-based testing methodologies.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with product, development, and operations teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Establish and govern quality assurance policies, standards, and metrics to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Mentor and develop managers and team leads, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Manage departmental budgets, resource planning, and vendor relationships to support scalable testing operations.
