About The Position

The Director of Technical Services is responsible for leading and managing the aircraft maintenance sales team at Central Flying Service. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding the customer base, and developing strategic sales initiatives within the aviation maintenance sector. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance services and a proven ability to build lasting client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in aviation sales, aircraft maintenance sales, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team development experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and services preferred.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional walking through hangars and maintenance areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the aircraft maintenance sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and increase maintenance service revenue.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate, charter, and private aviation clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and leadership teams to align sales strategies with service capabilities and company goals.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reporting to executive leadership.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
