About The Position

Responsible for supervising and coordinating all daily Surveillance Department activities, personnel, and systems to ensure the protection of company assets and compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls within a casino environment.

Requirements

  • 7 years of Casino surveillance experience, 5 years management experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of a digital system utilized in a surveillance environment.
  • Knowledge of operating a digital system with regards to workstations, software utilized, downloading, sending information, hardware, cabling, programming and configuration, settings, etc. related to operating such a system.
  • Knowledge of fraud detection.
  • Knowledge of investigative procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate with Team members and guests
  • Ability to be a TEAM player
  • Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the protection of all company and personnel assets through supervision and coordination of the daily activities and departmental personnel, engaged in investigating gaming and non-gaming areas.
  • Comp privileges within prescribed limits in accordance with the approved Comp Matrix.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with all regulatory, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop quality control procedures including frequent walk-through to ensure compliance.
  • Supervise the Surveillance Department personnel including hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluating performance.
  • Develop a plan to insure the surveillance systems on all gaming facilities, to include regular testing, evaluation and inspection of the systems are maintained.
  • Review and analyze existing surveillance equipment and recommend new surveillance equipment purchases, installation and replacements to better meet the needs of the Casinos on an annual basis.
  • Develop, implement, revise, and enforce internal Standard Operating Procedures for the Surveillance Department.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with the PA Gaming Control Board and PA State Police enforcement agencies in the reporting of illegal operations in the Casinos.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and logging of all pertinent information by technicians as required.
  • Partner with the Security department to protect the customers, employees and the assets of the property from fire, theft, burglary, assault and other security issues.
  • Partner with the Security department to conduct investigations of accidents and suspected criminal activities.
  • A surveillance department supervised by a person located at the licensed facility who functions, for regulatory purposes, as the director of surveillance. The director of surveillance shall be subject to the reporting requirements specified in subsection (c) and shall be licensed as a key employee. The surveillance department shall be responsible for the following:
  • The clandestine surveillance of the operation of, and gaming conducted at, slot machines.
  • The clandestine surveillance of the operation of automated bill breaker, gaming voucher, coupon redemption and jackpot payout machines.
  • The clandestine surveillance of the operation of the cashiers' cage and any satellite cage.
  • The video recording of activities in the count room and the video recording of movements of cash and slot cash storage boxes.
  • The detection of cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal activities within the licensed facility.
  • The detection of the presence of any person who may or is required to be excluded or ejected from the licensed facility under section 1514 or 1515 of the act (relating to regulation requiring exclusion of certain persons; repeat offenders excludable from licensed gaming facility) and Chapters 511a and 513a (relating to persons required to be excluded; and underage gaming), or is self-excluded from the gaming floor and gaming activities at all licensed facilities under section 1516 of the act (relating to list of persons self-excluded from gaming activities) and Chapter 503a (relating to self-exclusion).
  • The video recording of those locations, persons, activities or transactions required under § 465a.9(e) (relating to surveillance system; surveillance department control; surveillance department restrictions) and of any illegal and unusual activities monitored by the surveillance department.
  • The provision of immediate notice to supervisors designated in the internal controls, the casino compliance representatives and the Pennsylvania State Police at the licensed facility upon detecting, and also upon commencing video recording of, a person who is engaging in or attempting to engage in, or who is suspected of cheating, theft, embezzlement, a violation of this part or other illegal activities, including a person who is required to be excluded or ejected from the licensed facility under section 1514 of the act, who may or is required to be excluded or ejected from the licensed facility under section 1514 or 1515 of the act and Chapters 511a or 513a or is self-excluded from the gaming floor and gaming activities at all licensed facilities under section 1516 of the act and Chapter 503a.
  • The clandestine surveillance of any slot computer system or equipment designated for coverage by the Board in conjunction with the approval of a slot machine system, including a slot monitoring system, casino management system, wide area progressive system, gaming voucher system and any communication equipment with the central control computer.
  • The clandestine surveillance of the operation of, and gaming conducted (1) at Table Games.
  • Any satellite cage
  • Poker room cage.
  • The clandestine surveillance of storage areas used for the storage of Chips, cards, dice, and other equipment used to conduct table games.
  • The video recording of movements of table games drop boxes
  • The installation, maintenance and repair of the surveillance system Equipment used by the surveillance department.
  • All other duties as assigned.
