Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Minimum of 1 year recent Director-level experience in acute care Surgical Services.
Minimum of 3 years progressive leadership experience within acute care perioperative services.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex surgical operations and multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration.
Experience overseeing multiple surgical specialties and service lines.
Strong physician collaboration and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of surgical services, including operating rooms and procedural areas.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care aligned with evidence-based standards.
Lead patient throughput initiatives and optimize surgical scheduling and case flow.
Maintain compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and patient safety requirements.
Direct development and implementation of policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
Monitor quality metrics and implement performance improvement strategies.
Reduce variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency and outcomes.
Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Lead and develop perioperative management teams and clinical staff.
Foster engagement, retention, and professional development.
Ensure appropriate staffing models and competency alignment.
Partner with physicians and executive leadership to expand surgical programs.
Identify service line growth opportunities and support new program development.
Align operational strategies with long-term organizational objectives.
Lead annual budget development and ongoing financial oversight.
Manage labor productivity, staffing efficiency, and premium pay utilization.
Oversee supply chain utilization and capital equipment planning.
Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
