Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Director-level Surgical Services experience in an acute care setting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience within acute care surgical services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex perioperative operations and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration.
  • Experience overseeing multiple perioperative departments or service lines.
  • Strong physician partnership and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and retain high-performing perioperative leadership and clinical teams.
  • Promote employee engagement through coaching, recognition, and professional development.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing models, competency alignment, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with physicians and administrative leaders to expand and enhance surgical service offerings.
  • Identify opportunities for program growth, service line development, and operational differentiation.
  • Support strategic initiatives that increase surgical volume and market competitiveness.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring for surgical services.
  • Manage labor productivity, premium pay utilization, and staffing efficiency.
  • Oversee supply, equipment, and capital utilization; identify and execute cost-reduction opportunities.
