GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This role will supervise the Family Resource Network’s (FRN) Support Services Department, which includes programs for youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Director will ensure that high-quality services are delivered in a manner that is reliable, respectful and empowering to participants and their families.

Requirements

  • Supervisory experience required
  • Knowledge of state service systems for individuals with disabilities, including DDD, DCF, CSOC/PerformCare
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in special education, Social Work, Psychology or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Staff Development
  • Supervise and provide ongoing feedback to program coordinators and program assistants through weekly touch bases, quarterly meetings, and performance evaluations
  • Coordinate initial training for all support service staff and provide ongoing training as needed
  • Review and sign timesheets, time off requests, and expenses for direct reports
  • Directly oversee the planning and operation of Camp NOVA
  • Service Quality & Documentation
  • Ensure support services are provided to all service recipients in a manner that is person-centered, and protective of participants’ rights and personal health information (PHI).
  • Maintain up to date, comprehensive participant records utilizing FRNs electronic health record (Foothold, HHAeXchange) to ensure service plans and notes are accurate and meeting/exceeding FRN standards
  • Oversee incident reporting for support services and provide follow-up as needed
  • Program Development & Outreach
  • Grow FRN support services through the acquisition of new referrals, site locations, and service delivery lines
  • Expand support services by identifying new fee-for-service and grant opportunities
  • Maximize service utilization for current participants
  • Network and develop relationships with key stakeholders through participation in trade association, committees, community workgroups, and state/federal public meetings
  • Market and promote Support Services in partnership with Marketing Department
  • Oversee writing and distribution of all promotional materials developed for use in the department
  • Reporting & Budget Management
  • Develop and monitor program specific budgets to ensure that revenue and expenses follow established department budget
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress reports as required by funding sources and/or FRN
  • Develop effective systems for evaluating, monitoring, and improving overall department and program efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or CEO
