About The Position

The Director of Support Services provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and program innovation for YWCA Spokane’s integrated support services model. This role ensures that survivors and community members experience coordinated, trauma-informed, equitable, and accessible services from first point of contact through stabilization. The Director oversees Domestic Violence (DV) Support Advocacy, Client Navigation, Front Desk operations, Our Sister’s Closet, Drop-In Childcare, and all ancillary support services offered at YWCA Spokane’s main location. The position is responsible for strategic visioning, grants management and compliance, service integration, continuous quality improvement, and the development of innovative service delivery models that respond to evolving survivor and community needs. This leader ensures that services are aligned with YWCA Spokane’s mission, funding requirements, and best practices in trauma-informed, survivor-centered care while fostering a collaborative, resilient, and high-performing team culture.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Human Services, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience in human services required.
  • Experience overseeing multi-program operations and grant-funded services strongly preferred.
  • Experience in domestic violence advocacy, crisis response, or survivor services required.
  • Must maintain required violence training hours annually.
  • Must meet the requirements of YWCA Spokane’s Driver Policy.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must have active personal auto insurance
  • Satisfactory motor vehicle report (no more than 1 moving violation in the past 12 months) OR probationary motor vehicle report (no more than 2 moving violations in the past 24 months)
