As Director of Supply Chain, you will lead a critical transformation in a high-mix, low-volume defense manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience with 3+ years of supply chain experience in leadership or management role.
  • Expertise in planning, procurement, and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias for action.
  • U.S. Citizenship and are able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Contractual experience with DFAR/FAR regulations and high-level negotiations, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive planning and scheduling improvements to support aggressive production goals. Align supply chain strategies with business objectives for cost optimization and operational agility.
  • Process Transformation: Streamline purchasing workflows to minimize manual processing and accelerate decision-making. Introduce technology and AI as efficiency enablers, not just tools.
  • Cost Optimization: Lead initiatives to achieve favorable Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and make informed insourcing/outsourcing decisions that strengthen competitiveness.
  • Operational Oversight: Provide hands-on leadership in the early stages, ensuring flawless execution of material planning, logistics, supplier performance, and internal machining. Transition toward visionary leadership, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain adherence to DFAR/FAR regulations and contractual requirements, including high-level negotiations and terms management.
  • Culture & People Development: Mentor and develop a high-performing team, promoting open communication and ownership. Create measurable development plans that accelerate individual growth and internal promotions.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned
