About The Position

The Director of Supply Chain oversees all Great Plains Health supply chain operations, including receiving, logistics, distribution, inventory management, value analysis, capital and contract management, customer service, etc., and supply chain initiatives such as contract compliance, product conversions, utilization, and standardization of supplies, services, and equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Business Administration degree or equivalent required.

  • Eye hand coordination and visual acuity within normal limits.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and management of all Great Plains Health supply chain functions, with guidance and oversight of the CFO, to ensure a highly reliable supply chain.
  • Oversees supply chain operations (receiving, logistics, distribution, inventory management, value analysis, capital management, customer service, etc.), and leads supply chain initiatives such as contract compliance, product conversions, utilization, and standardization of supplies, services, and equipment.
  • Responsible for understanding costs across the organization, creating and implementing proactive strategies to improve processes, reduce supply and purchased service spend, and ensure best practices are in place to identify and mitigate issues.
  • Builds relationships within GPH and the region to facilitate and promote the delivery of lowest total cost of supplies, services and equipment while supporting clinical, functional, operational and quality criteria necessary to fulfill our mission.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop team members to ensure continuous operational capability across the supply chain.
  • Develop and implement processes that will streamline operations and create savings for the organization.
  • Engages in non-labor contracting activities, negotiations, implementation, and issue resolution GPH.
  • Negotiates advantageous terms with vendors and service partners while developing and maintaining relationships to ensure a positive working environment.
  • Recommends corrections, changes, and any language opportunities in documents to Contract Committee.
  • Analyzes contract proposals, language, and business case to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with GPH standards and guidelines.
  • Ensures all amendments, letters of agreement (LOA), memorandum of understanding (MOU), and other contract documents are signed by the appropriate parties and fully executed contract documents are stored, maintained, and disseminated to key stakeholders.
  • Monitors and analyzes contracts and trends, collaborating with finance and department leaders to ensure payment according to negotiated contract terms.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinicians, and GPH leaders in all aspects of contracting and supply chain management.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains policies and procedures for supply chain and contracting.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of supply chain and contracting trends and regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and GPH standards.
