About The Position

Career Success Schools is committed to implementing quality programs to enhance our students experience and opportunities. Our goal is to ensure all students have access to learning environments that meet their needs. The Director of Student Services will be responsible for overseeing CTE, SPED, Entitlement Grants and Food Services. In addition, the Director of Student Services is responsible for communicating and implementing the vision, direction, and strategic plan for programs in the organization that directly impact our students. The Director for Student Services will serve as the liaison between the district and any partnerships that are working with the district.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Education
  • Az Certification (administrator)
  • 2 years of successful leadership experience
  • Experience in working with both elementary and secondary level schools
  • Experience working with teachers and principals
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint clearance card
  • Demonstrated experience (in a previous administrative assignment) developing a strong culture of improved achievement
  • Knowledge of student services programs including CTE, ELL, Special Education, and Grants.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements related to federal and state education programs.

Responsibilities

  • Grants Coordination and Compliance
  • Completion and management of federal and state grants including Title I, Title II, Title III, Title IV, Perkins, IDEA, and other applicable grants.
  • Track grant-funded programs, budgets, and allowable expenditures.
  • Collect and maintain documentation required for grant compliance and audits.
  • Oversee grant applications, revisions, and program reporting.
  • Monitor program outcomes and performance metrics tied to grants.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations including Uniform Guidance.
  • Career and Technical Education (CTE)
  • Support CTE program enrollment and student pathway tracking.
  • Track CTE concentrators and completers.
  • Coordinate Technical Skills Assessments (TSA) and industry certification testing.
  • Track work-based learning hours including internships, job shadowing, and apprenticeships.
  • Oversee with Perkins grant documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Support Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) and student leadership activities.
  • Complete the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment and related documentation.
  • English Learner (ELL) Program Support
  • Assist with English Learner student identification and documentation.
  • Coordinate AZELLA testing (placement and reassessment).
  • Maintain ELL student files including Home Language Surveys and parent notification letters.
  • Track EL student services, minutes, and reclassification documentation.
  • Oversee with Title III documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Support translation services and parent communication as needed.
  • Special Education Compliance Support
  • Liaison between CSS and contracted Special Education provider.
  • Monitor the implementation of Special Education services across four sites and Credit Recovery Program.
  • Communicate between campuses and contracted services.
  • Support principals in understanding their role with Special Education.
  • Assist with state monitoring and audit preparation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with IDEA requirements.
  • District Assessment Coordinator
  • Serve as district testing coordinator.
  • Coordinate and oversee state testing at four sites and Credit Recover Program.
  • Performance Responsibilities
  • Ensure student data is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Support successful program completion for students in CTE, ELL, and Special Education programs.
  • Assist the school in maintaining compliance with state and federal program requirements.
  • Meet all state and federal reporting deadlines.
