About The Position

At MAS, strategy is where emotion begins. We are seeking a Director of Strategy & Marketing who sits at the intersection of culture, creativity, and impact. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping how we think, how we position ourselves, and how we prove the value of experiences. You will lead the strategic backbone of client work while defining how MAS positions itself in the industry. You will transform insight into direction and ensure our ideas are grounded in rigor and accountable to outcomes. This role requires both imagination and discipline. Someone who can decode cultural shifts, synthesize complexity quickly, and articulate strategy with thoughtful clarity to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in strategy or marketing within an agency or brand environment, across B2B and B2C.
  • Expertise in translating global and industry trends into actionable experiential strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to ideate across physical to digital experiences.
  • Strong client-facing experience with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven experience developing data tracking and measurement frameworks specific to experiential marketing, including pre-event engagement, real-time activation insights, and post-event content strategies.
  • Experience developing integrated marketing plans across channels.
  • Ability to balance big-picture thinking with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise, persuasive narratives.
  • Strong visual communication skills that bring strategy to life in compelling presentations.
  • Fluency with AI tools for research and creative development.
  • Deep curiosity about culture, consumer behavior, and emerging platforms.
  • Proactive and comfortable navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, shifting deadlines, and pivots.
  • Equally effective working collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Creative Strategists, aligning talent to client challenges while investing in long-term growth.
  • Establish strategic frameworks that ensure every idea ladders directly to business objectives.
  • Analyze brand ecosystems, competitive landscapes, audiences, and cultural dynamics to uncover differentiated insights.
  • Translate complex business goals into focused, actionable briefs.
  • Partner closely with Creative, Production, and Account teams to embed strategy from concept through execution.
  • Own and lead the agency’s marketing strategy, sharpening MAS’s positioning and point of view.
  • Influence the evolution of MAS’s brand identity, voice, and strategic narrative as the agency grows.
  • Direct social strategists and designers to ensure a cohesive, differentiated presence across channels.
  • Partner with New Business to align marketing initiatives with priority growth sectors.
  • Oversee the social content calendar.
  • Lead awards strategy, thought leadership, and speaking opportunities to strengthen agency authority and visibility.
  • Architect measurement frameworks that evaluate impact across pre-event, live, and post-event phases.
  • Establish systems to capture meaningful data within immersive, temporary environments.
  • Translate performance metrics into actionable insights that inform future strategy.
  • Strengthen how MAS articulates ROI, reinforcing our role as an accountable partner.
  • Act as strategic lead on priority accounts, guiding cross-functional teams with clarity and direction.
  • Present strategic narratives with confidence and precision to client stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with fellow Directors to strengthen cross-departmental alignment, workflows, and shared standards of excellence.
  • Foster a culture of rigor, curiosity, and collaboration across the strategy team and broader agency.
  • Mentor, inspire, and energize your team and strengthen the department over time by codifying best practices.
