About The Position

The Director of Strategic Initiatives leads the planning, coordination, and implementation of cross-organizational initiatives connected to Opportunity Drive and other collaborative efforts. This role ensures strong alignment between BGCSCK and partner organizations, helping translate strategy into coordinated action that supports youth and families in the community.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in public administration, nonprofit leadership, community development, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience managing partnerships, collaborative initiatives, or community-based programs.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and initiatives simultaneously.
Ability to translate strategic goals into practical implementation steps.
Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage complex initiatives with multiple partners and moving parts.
Demonstrated commitment to the mission and work of BGCSCK.
May be required to drive Club van.

Responsibilities

Lead the coordination and execution of strategic initiatives connected to Opportunity Drive.
Serve as the primary liaison between BGCSCK and external partner organizations involved in collaborative initiatives.
Ensure alignment of initiative goals, timelines, and outcomes across participating organizations.
Support the development of initiative strategies that strengthen opportunities for youth and families.
Monitor initiative progress and provide updates and recommendations to organizational leadership.
Guide implementation of initiatives across departments to ensure strategic priorities are executed effectively.
Identify opportunities for new partnerships, community collaborations, and program growth connected to Opportunity Drive.
Coordinate internal teams and external partners to maintain consistent communication and progress toward shared goals.
Support evaluation of initiative outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement or expansion.
Provide supervision and guidance to staff supporting initiative implementation, including the Family Engagement Coordinator – Tapestry Initiative.
Oversee planning and implementation of collaborative projects associated with Opportunity Drive.
Ensure coordination between BGCSCK departments and external partners involved in initiatives.
Establish clear processes for communication, reporting, and accountability across initiative partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners involved in collaborative initiatives.
Represent BGCSCK in meetings, planning sessions, and community discussions related to strategic initiatives.
Support development of shared goals, agreements, and implementation plans among partner organizations.
Provide regular updates to the COO and leadership team on initiative progress, challenges, and outcomes.
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, or updates related to strategic initiatives.
Ensure initiatives remain aligned with the mission and strategic direction of BGCSCK.
Other duties as assigned.
May participate in special programs and/or events.
May represent BGCSCK at community meetings or partner events.
May be required to drive Club van.
