About The Position

The Director of Strategic Sales Initiatives is tasked with implementing crucial strategic, sales focused, and cultural initiatives that necessitate significant transformations. This role involves aiding in the formulation of plans designed to facilitate the achievement of specific company objectives. Additionally, the Director oversees the execution of strategies, analyzing information related to proposed plans and presenting findings to senior leadership. The role encompasses providing assessments of potential outcomes for proposals and informing leaders about associated risks and rewards. The Director may also make recommendations on adjustments to better align with the company's needs.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on project, strategic sales and cross business collaboration experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing, sustaining, and successfully executing substantial and intricate programs.
  • Proficient abilities in effective communication across functional boundaries, throughout the organization, with senior leadership, and in engagements with external partners.
  • Proven history as a solution-oriented and strategic thinker, showcasing the ability to identify pivotal challenges, formulate hypotheses, and propose viable solutions.
  • Capable of thriving in uncertain settings and adept at instilling clarity in ambiguous environments.
  • 10-15 years of related experience in sales related roles.
  • Successful application of a variety of project management tools and methods.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Drives significant corporate value creation initiatives, playing a central role in improving commercial processes, refining go to market approaches, and ensuring the success of cross business unit selling integration efforts.
  • Deliver financial and analytical insights regarding the effects of different strategies on our business and Business Partners.
  • Partners with Business and Finance leaders to develop and provide analytics in support of the strategic plan and key initiatives to understand progress, results, and drivers.
  • Implements agile methodologies for robust execution of critical projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of tools and frameworks to promote prioritization, efficiency, and standardization across Sunbelt Supply.
  • Ability to build strategic partnerships to provide valuable insights, guidance, encourage collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, and provide recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Understand the requirements of a complex business case and be skilled in leading and executing within matrixed project environments with a cross functional team.
  • Manage strategy efforts and projects, involved with projects from start to finish, ensuring successful project completion against deadlines.
  • Ensures inter-project communication and integrated execution.
  • Proactively identifies and raises issues and risks and drives quick escalation, resolution, or effective mitigation.
  • General support for the senior leadership team.
