Director of Staff Development (DSD) – LVN Bakersfield Post Acute – Bakersfield, CA Starting Salary: $80,000+ annually (based on experience) Join Our Team at Bakersfield Post Acute! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Staff Development (DSD) to lead our education and training efforts. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), the DSD plays a vital role in ensuring our staff are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to deliver the highest quality care to our residents. PACS is revolutionizing the delivery and leadership of post-acute healthcare and support services across the country. Requirements

  • Current and valid LVN license in the State of California
  • Must hold Director of Staff Development certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Previous experience in staff development, education, or training in a healthcare/SNF setting preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to lead with professionalism, compassion, and enthusiasm

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee all staff education and in-service training programs
  • Coordinate new employee orientation and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of employee education, certifications, and training hours
  • Evaluate staff competency and provide ongoing education to support professional development
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and implement solutions
  • Ensure infection prevention and safety protocols are included in training programs
  • Promote a culture of learning, teamwork, and excellence in resident care
