About The Position

Canyon Springs Post Acute is looking for a Director of Staff Development to lead our facility’s training and education. You will work with the DON and Administrator to ensure our team provides top-tier care while maintaining a positive, professional environment. PACS is revolutionizing the delivery and leadership of post-acute healthcare and support services across the country. Requirements

  • License: Current RN or LVN/LPN license and CPR certification.
  • Experience: 1 year of direct patient care in long-term care PLUS 1 year of experience in nursing education/training (2+ years total LTC experience preferred).
  • Skills: PointClickCare (PCC) knowledge preferred; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Physical: Ability to stand/walk frequently and lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Experience: 2+ years total LTC experience preferred
  • Skills: PointClickCare (PCC) knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Train & Educate: Lead orientations, skills training, and mandatory In-Service programs for all staff.
  • Recruit & Support: Manage hiring, payroll coordination, and employee benefit programs.
  • Clinical Care: Provide direct resident care and conduct clinical rounds to ensure quality.
  • Compliance: Oversee infection control, safety drills (fire/disaster), and state licensing documentation.
  • Leadership: Supervise and mentor staff to build an enthusiastic, cooperative team.
