About The Position

As Staff Development Coordinator you have a passion for training and developing direct care staff to promote excellence in resident care while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements. The position identifies, prepares, presents and/or arranges presenter(s) for the training and development programs that are needed for the community.

Requirements

  • Graduates from a School of Nursing for Registered Nurses
  • Current State Licensure in the state where practicing
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required or must be willing and able to become CPR and First Aid certified
  • 3-5 years of experience working with the geriatric population is required
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and Continuing Care Retirement Community operations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment
  • Uses a resident and customer-focused approach to problem-solving and goal-setting
  • Computer proficiency using Microsoft MS Office

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in staff development or program development is preferred
