Requirements

  • Active California LVN license in good standing
  • Previous experience as a DSD or in staff education within a skilled nursing or post‑acute setting
  • Strong knowledge of CMS, CDPH, and Title 22 regulations
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Passion for education, mentorship, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all clinical education and staff development programs
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate orientation, in‑service training, and annual competencies
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
  • Identify learning needs and implement targeted education to improve outcomes
  • Track and maintain all required training and competency documentation
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to support survey readiness and quality initiatives
