Reporting to the Senior Director of U.S. Unmanned Systems & Field Operations, this dynamic leadership role will oversee a team of Sales Engineers, Solutions Architects, and Field Service Representatives. The successful candidate will drive the technical sales process, serving as a vital link between sales and product development to deliver tailored technical solutions for both existing and prospective customers. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to optimize technical sales performance and enhance customer engagement. Core elements will include: Oversee the development and execution of tailored product demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and technical solutions to showcase value to customers. Serve as the primary liaison for key customers and internal stakeholders throughout the sales cycle and beyond, ensuring seamless communication and support. Partner with global product development and engineering teams to integrate customer feedback into future product innovations. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall impact of the sales engineering team. Optimize resource allocation to align sales engineering efforts with high-value opportunities, maximizing win rates and customer satisfaction. Manage and track demonstration assets to support revenue-generating activities and ensure optimal utilization. About You As the Director of Solutions Engineering, you will bring a proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams, coupled with strong coaching and mentoring skills to inspire and guide technical professionals. You will have deep expertise in contemporary broadband wireless and digital video technologies, including IP Mesh and Point-to-Point links, along with a strong ability to deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept. Your ability to align technical solutions with business strategies and customer needs will be critical in effectively communicating complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to drive change and influence decision-making across all levels of management. This role requires frequent CONUS and limited OCONUS travel. At DTC, we recognize and respect the importance of flexible working arrangements. However, due to the highly collaborative nature of this role, it will primarily be based at our Ashburn facility, with occasional remote work arrangements available as needed.
