We are seeking a Director of Solutions and Delivery to help our company shape the right work, win the work, stand up the work, and keep the work healthy. This is a senior leadership role that bridges business growth and contract execution across the full lifecycle of government and defense contracting work. The Director of Solutions and Delivery will play a key role in supporting capture efforts, developing technical and management solutions, contributing hands-on technical writing for proposals and RFIs, leading transition and kickoff activities, and overseeing active contracts that do not have dedicated Program Managers. The right candidate brings a balanced mix of delivery leadership, technical solutioning, customer engagement, and strong written communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • If the degree is not in an IT-related field, a technical certification is required (e.g., COMPTIA Net+, Security+, CISM, CISSP, CCNA, or equivalent).
  • 8+ years of combined experience in government contracting, defense contracting, program delivery, solutions, capture, proposal support, or related leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing contract performance, delivery execution, and program operations in a GovCon and/or DoD/DoW environment.
  • Experience supporting capture and shaping activities, including helping define technical, operational, or management approaches for new opportunities.
  • Must be a legal US Citizen
  • Strong ability to technically write and contribute meaningful content for proposals, RFIs, Sources Sought, and related response efforts.
  • Ability to engage customers and internal stakeholders with professionalism, credibility, and sound judgment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate across functions and manage multiple priorities in a growing organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of the acquisition lifecycle from opportunity shaping through award, transition, and delivery.
  • May require ability to obtain a security clearance at a Secret or higher level
  • Former Senior Program Manager, Program Director, Solutions Architect, or similar senior delivery/growth leader.
  • Experience in IT services, technical services, mission support, or other government-contracted professional services.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, contract vehicles, task orders, and transition/startup activities.
  • Experience working in environments where leaders are expected to support growth, delivery, and customer engagement simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Support opportunity identification, qualification, and shaping aligned to company capabilities and growth priorities.
  • Contribute to capture efforts by helping define pursuit strategy, solution positioning, win themes, and customer alignment.
  • Develop practical, technical, and management approaches for RFIs, Sources Sought, RFQs, RFPs, and related growth efforts.
  • Provide hands-on technical -writing support for proposals, RFIs, and other response efforts, including drafting technical narratives, management approaches, and solution content.
  • Translate customer needs and solicitation requirements into clear, credible, compliant, and compelling written responses.
  • Participate in customer, partner, and internal meetings to gather requirements, refine solutions, and support opportunity progression.
  • Lead post-award transition planning and kickoff activities to ensure smooth startup and execution readiness.
  • Oversee active contracts that do not have dedicated Program Managers, helping ensure delivery remains organized, responsive, and aligned with customer expectations.
  • Monitor delivery health, identify risks, drive follow-through on issues, and maintain leadership awareness of contract status.
  • Partner with technical staff, operations, contracts, pricing, and leadership to ensure proposed solutions are executable and aligned to delivery capability.
  • Help maintain continuity between pre-award commitments and post-award execution.
  • Contribute to customer confidence, contract stability, and follow-on growth opportunities.
  • Establishes the foundation of contract support for new or indirect PM contracts.
  • Standardize and modernize workflows, templates, and reporting to improve operational efficiency
  • Provide leadership with reports, dashboards, and insights on company or individual program performance.
  • Serve as a principal liaison with current and prospective program customers.
  • Managing complex projects/programs from design and development to production
