Position Summary: The Director of Registry Solutions is responsible for driving growth and adoption of the organization’s clinical data registry portfolio among hospitals, health systems, and physician practices. This role leads strategic outreach and engagement with healthcare organizations to position registry participation as a high-value solution for clinical data collection, benchmarking, reporting, and performance improvement. This position develops and communicates a compelling value proposition for the use and reuse of registry data, demonstrating how organizations can leverage high-quality clinical data to support process improvement, quality improvement initiatives, regulatory reporting, and participation in federal programs such as the CMS Quality Payment Program (QPP). The Director of Registry Solutions is responsible for cultivating new organizational partnerships and strengthening relationships with existing registry participants to support both acquisition and retention. This position leads consultative discussions with healthcare executives, clinical leaders, and quality improvement teams to identify organizational needs and align registry capabilities with strategic goals. Additionally, this role collaborates closely with internal stakeholders across registry operations, analytics, marketing, and product development to ensure that registry services evolve to meet market demand and deliver measurable value to participating organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or related area required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business relations and/or development.
  • Minimum 3 years of Senior Managerial or Director experience in a related function.
  • Healthcare experience required. Experience navigating hospital C-suite; experience working with organizational volunteers and Boards of Directors preferred.
  • Proven success in a business development and/or client interfacing role.
  • Ability to draft business plans, proposals, RFPs, and other correspondence, and make presentations to senior industry professionals.
  • Capacity for innovative thinking and creative strategizing to invigorate efforts towards enhanced profitability.
  • Ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders, establish trust, and build long-term relationships. High level of confidence and poise with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, affinity for networking and demonstrated high level of confidence and poise with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact with senior management, volunteer leaders, and internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead consultative sales discussions with healthcare executives, clinical leaders, and quality improvement teams to articulate the value of registry participation and the strategic use of clinical data. Demonstrate how organizations can leverage registry data for performance benchmarking, process improvement, quality improvement initiatives, and payer contract negotiations.
  • Drive revenue growth and organizational participation through the sale and expansion of clinical data registry services to hospitals, health systems, and physician practices. Position registry participation as a strategic solution for clinical data capture, benchmarking, reporting, and regulatory program participation, including CMS Quality Payment Program (QPP) initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with healthcare organizations to support long-term participation in registry programs. Identify and cultivate new institutional partnerships while strengthening relationships with existing participants to drive both acquisition and retention.
  • Develop and execute a structured business development strategy and territory plan focused on expanding registry participation across hospitals, health systems, and physician practices. Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline and track opportunities through the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and discovery through contract execution and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with registry operations, analytics, marketing, and product teams to refine value propositions, develop messaging, and ensure registry services align with market needs and evolving healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource on the strategic use of clinical registry data, including benchmarking, quality improvement reporting, and regulatory program support. Translate complex data capabilities into clear and compelling value for healthcare executives and clinical stakeholders.
  • Identify emerging market needs and opportunities for new registry services, analytics offerings, or data-enabled solutions that enhance the value delivered to participating organizations.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, meetings, and events to promote registry programs, strengthen relationships with participating organizations, and identify new partnership opportunities.
  • As a member of the Senior team, works collaboratively and cross-departmentally on all strategies and tactics to meet ASA’s mission and goals.
  • Manages department staff, budgets, and resources, including workload and prioritization. Builds and cultivates successful team of high-performing staff who demonstrate strong commitment to ASA values. Ensures the department meets deadlines and monitors performance against performance goals.
