About The Position

The GovCIO Enterprise Digital Services organization is rapidly growing and is looking for a strong Director of Software Product Delivery to join their team. The EDS team's base of operations is located in Austin, Texas, but this position is 100% remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's with 15+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Product development and delivery in Agile product delivery environments
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and manage concurrent product development and delivery workstreams
  • Significant private sector experience delivering large scale product delivery (preferably at companies such as AMD, Samsung, National Instruments, and/or Intel) with a sense of urgency
  • Familiarity with product management and delivery tools like MS Project, MS Teams, Office 365, Slack, and Jira
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps pipeline and release management
  • Familiarity with hosting environments like AWS and Azure
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and interest in emergent technologies and AI

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing Product Lines delivering a variety of Products leveraging a matrixed and broad based team of technical employees providing design, implementation, and system integration of complex systems solutions.
  • Effectively drives concurrent product workstreams, completing detailed project plans, schedules, functional flows and specifications, standard operating procedures and quality assurance plans by identifying tasks, deliverables, assignments, controls, and contingency plans.
  • Requires a broad base of enterprise solution delivery experience and technical knowledge and demonstrated organizational and leadership skills.
  • May also act as team subject matter expert.
  • Leads and manages the efforts of multi-disciplined personnel teams (Product Owners, Software Engineers, DBAs, & QA) to deliver systems within guidelines for schedule, cost, quality and productivity.
  • Monitor and report project status and milestone achievements for all phases of a project on a very regular basis and implement remedial actions as appropriate.
  • Delegates tasks to, organizes, mentors and motivates a team of Information Systems professionals and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manages technology assets and budget; assessing, designing and providing system and technology training.
  • Monitors technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.
