About The Position

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services. In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit. How will you make a difference at LBHH? The Director of Social Services at Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital is responsible to direct and manage an effective organization-wide clinical service delivery system. The Director of Social Services is responsible for completing the following duties and tasks: Identify and oversee the development of the programs and clinical services necessary to meet key mental health and substance abuse treatment needs of the community. Monitor, evaluate and modify the clinical programs, utilizing the input and skills of the hospital’s clinical management team. Serve as member of LBHH’s management team. Supervises staff to ensure effective utilization of clinical employees across services, including scheduling employees, identifying and addressing training needs and implementing a system of on-going employee performance monitoring. Perform personnel management duties including screening and selection of counseling staff, providing department orientation and training, completing performance evaluations and giving feedback to Human Resources office. Serve as department fiscal manager and adhering to FTE standards. Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensuring program quality improvements. Ensure that patient and program, departments, or clinical services documents and records are maintained as necessary. Analyze Assessment and Referral information with the department head and identify and implement measures to improve the delivery of clinical services. What do our current staff value at LBHH? Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work.
  • LCSW Required.
  • Five years clinical supervisory and inpatient experience.
