Position Overview Reporting to the Senior Director of Compliance & Clinical Operations, the Director of Social Work will serve as the senior clinical leader overseeing all social work services across POD Health’s telehealth platform. This role blends strategic leadership, clinical excellence, operational oversight, and direct patient care. The ideal candidate is an experienced behavioral health leader who thrives in fast‑paced, tech‑enabled environments and is passionate about expanding access to care. Title: Director of Social Work – POD Health Location: Brooklyn, NY (100% On site) Employment Type: Full-Time Exempt Salary Range (NYC): $135,000–$165,000 annually, depending on experience

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Active LCSW or equivalent independent clinical license
  • Minimum 7+ years of clinical experience, including 3+ years in leadership
  • Experience in telehealth, digital health, or virtual care strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of behavioral health regulations, clinical documentation, and care coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage change, and build scalable programs
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working in a dynamic, technology‑driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop POD Health’s social work programs, ensuring high‑quality, evidence‑based care
  • Provide direct clinical services to patients through POD Health’s virtual platform
  • Supervise and mentor a growing team of licensed social workers
  • Oversee clinical workflows, documentation standards, and compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Clinical Operations, Medical Leadership, and Product Development—to enhance patient experience
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and implement best practices in virtual behavioral health
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new clinical staff
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards, licensure requirements, and telehealth regulations
  • Represent the social work discipline in organizational planning and strategic initiatives
