Director of Social Work Practicum Education – Instructor/Assistant Professor Frostburg State University’s Department of Psychology and Social Work seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Instructor/Assistant Professor of Social Work to serve as the Director of Social Work Practicum Education. This position is available to begin in Spring 2026. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications; University System of Maryland benefits package included. The social work program (undergraduate) is the only accredited social work program in Western Maryland. It is nationally accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, with approximately 50 students who represent the geographic, racial, and gender diversity of the state of Maryland. The program is projected to grow over the next three to five years. The Social Work Program is within FSU’s College of Education, Behavioral and Health Professions. The mission of the College of Education, Behavioral and Health Professions is to deliver inclusive and student-centered programs that promote experiential learning to develop life-long learning skills that will meet the needs of an ever-changing society. The College engages students, faculty, and staff in collaborative efforts to reach high standards, promote diversity and ensure equity in all programs.
