About The Position

EO Products, the maker of EO and Everyone brands, is seeking a visionary Director of Social and Content to serve as our brand's voice and chief storyteller. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Director of Social and Content will be a core leader within EO, serving as our brand’s voice and chief storyteller. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will be the heart and soul behind our brand content, responsible for shaping stories that connect with a values-driven audience. This role requires a curious leader, with clarity of purpose and drive, eager to find the hidden content gems in our 30 year legacy and translate them into authentic stories. You view social media as your primary creative playground and know how to break through the noise to build a loyal, delighted community. You will coach and mentor a direct report and specialized content freelancer(s). This is a full-time hybrid position that will require 2-3 days on-site on the EO campus. Requirements

  • Expert at content strategy and creation
  • Skilled writer in both long form and short form
  • Expertise in leveraging unique aspects of Social Media channels for content reach and engagement
  • Solid knowledge of digital software tools (e.g., Office Suite, Google Suite, project management tools)
  • Brand builder, with ability to push creative boundaries
  • Passion for experimentation; track record of test & learn using data to drive content decisions
  • Previous experience managing a copy team required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Writing, Communications, or a related field desired
  • 5+ years of experience in brand content strategy & copy creation and/or social media management required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the personal care or natural product industry is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Brand Storytelling & Content Vision
  • Develop and champion the overarching content strategy for both the EO and Everyone brands, working closely with the Creative Director and CMO
  • Drive consistency in each brand’s distinct tone and voice, creating tools and providing direction to all internal and external partners (freelancers, agencies, and marketing team)
  • Serve as the primary content voice for our Co-Founders across social media, industry articles, and speech writing
  • Manage content creator partnerships with social accounts aligned for our brand ethos
  • Ensure internal & external content is authentic, adds value to our audience’s lives and enhances the emotional resonance of our brands
  • Community Growth
  • Grow our Social Footprint and engagement: Direct the Social Media Lead(s) to significantly expand the reach and engagement of EO and Everyone's social channels by:
  • Establishing compelling, consistent content that resonates with each brand’s core audience
  • Leading with experimentation, developing innovative tactics to increase views and reach, authentically grow our followers
  • Drive specific content strategies for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Youtube and Facebook - optimizing the approach based on social channel
  • Ideate and curate original content that engages our Sales Brokers and retail customers
  • Editorial Management
  • Oversee and manage copy writer(s) responsible for:
  • Developing all campaign copy, ongoing digital updates (website, weekly emails, blogs, paid ads), and social promotions.
  • Approving brand/marketing copy for all packaging, sell sheets, training materials, instore displays, and collateral to maintain absolute brand consistency and accuracy.
  • Ideating options for product naming, on-pack label copy, and e-commerce benefit copy.
  • Partner with Product Development and Marketing to refine each product's positioning and reasons-to-believe. Drive product relevancy by honing the marketing claims and key attributes that speak directly to our audience's needs and values.
  • Partner with the QA and Regulatory teams to ensure all copy adheres to trademark laws, cosmetic/drug regulations, and certifying body guidelines.
  • Support a safe working environment by reporting any unsafe conditions or observed, unsafe conduct.
  • Facilitate training and performance management of direct reports in department.
  • Manage schedules and biweekly review for employee payroll, including:
  • Regularly reviewing timecards for missed punches; Submitting Punch Edit Forms by Monday processing deadline; Review schedule gaps on timecards and time submitted in BambooHR for any missing PTO, Sick Time, or other time off bank submissions
  • Perform other tasks and projects as directed by the manager
