About the role Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is seeking a Director of Security to lead the Security Department with professionalism, discretion, and a strong commitment to service. This role provides strategic oversight of the hotel’s safety and security operations, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for our guests and employees while protecting the property and its assets. The ideal candidate is a confident, hands-on leader who partners closely with hotel leadership to uphold Four Seasons standards and support a culture of care, accountability, and excellence.

Requirements

  • At least High School Diploma - Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 2 years of security manager experience, preferably within Hotels
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to remain calm during challenging situations
  • Confident presentation skills and/or training sessions for employees or property leadership
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Security team through hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and care.
  • Oversee all security, safety, and loss prevention operations across the property, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for guests, employees, and hotel assets.
  • Develop, implement, and uphold security policies, emergency response plans, and crisis management procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Four Seasons standards.
  • Partner closely with hotel leadership and external agencies, including local law enforcement and emergency services, to support proactive risk management and effective incident response.
  • Ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement through regular property assessments, incident reporting and investigations, safety training, and oversight of security systems and technologies.
