About The Position

BHSN, one of the fastest-growing organizations providing whole-person care in the region, is in search of passionate individuals to join our rapidly expanding team! Our Director of School Based Services provides clinical and administrative oversight to all School-Based Clinical Services to foster client growth and program advancement through the integration of a continuum of services. Maintains quality of care, cost-effective, and efficient practices to promote the well-being of the individuals served and the organization across all counties served. This position may be based at either Center for Well-Being location in Morrisonville, NY or Queensbury, NY. Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • A NYSED Mental Health Licensed Professional (LMHC, or LCSW) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ healthcare experience required
  • Minimum of 3years’of supervisory experience required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation for local/regional travel

Responsibilities

  • Translates strategy into growth opportunities
  • Ensures that operations meet or exceed financial targets and compliance standards
  • Ensures that all provider’s productivity levels meet or exceed the annual defined productivity standard; ensuring that that corrective action plans are implemented promptly and consistently if/when necessary
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with local schools on performance, needs and solutions
  • Completes quarterly site visits to schools in all counties served by BHSN with potential for additional sites.
  • Directs the administration of the school-based sites and ensures adherence to all deliverables and reporting requirements under the regulations
  • Facilitates the integration of clinical and administrative evidenced-based practices throughout the continuum of services
  • Ensures coordination of care between organizational programs/services with community partners
  • Evaluates and documents the quality and efficiency of programs; identifies areas for improvement; directs implementation of changes
  • Assists in the development and implementation of organizational objectives in relation to clinical services
  • Develops, recommends, and administers organizational policies and procedures
  • Develops and coordinates program expansion efforts into new services and sites, as needed
  • Delivers direct clinical care and clinical supervision as necessary
  • Maintains compliant programming in accordance with BHSN policies and NYS/federal regulatory standards
  • Develops and implements cost improvement projects through operational efficiencies
  • Develops and supports census development strategies
  • Develop criteria for evaluating quality and effectiveness of programs and services
  • Supports continuous improvement culture; participates in quality management activities
  • Leads and mentors team members, facilitates the creation of a culture that motivates employees
  • Serves on internal and external committees, boards, workgroups, etc., to further the objectives of this position and the Agency
  • Assumes the role of project director on grant endeavors
  • Additional duties as assigned
