About The Position

The Director of Sales is a strategic executive responsible for the overarching growth and profitability of the sales organization across multiple territories. This role focuses on designing scalable sales systems, architecting market expansion strategies, and developing a leadership pipeline of Sales Managers. The Director oversees the entire sales engine—from lead generation optimization to final project handoffs—ensuring the company meets long-term revenue and margin objectives.

Requirements

  • Executive Experience: Proven success in senior sales leadership roles, specifically managing multi-site teams within the home improvement, construction, or outdoor services industry.
  • Building in Greenfield Environments: Proven success in establishing teams and processes in new territories, from scratch.
  • Methodology Expertise: Deep mastery of the "one call close" model and the ability to train leaders on this system.
  • Strategic Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data-driven performance management and advanced CRM systems to guide high-level decision-making.
  • Leadership Presence: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire a large, field-based workforce.
  • Mobility: Ability to travel as required to various market areas (~25-40%) and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute multi-year sales strategies to drive exponential revenue growth and market share expansion
  • Organizational Development: Lead and mentor a team of Sales Managers, ensuring high levels of accountability and professional growth throughout the sales hierarchy. Establish clear expectations, training systems, and accountability frameworks to drive conversion, revenue and margin performance.
  • Greenfield Market Expansion: Lead the launch and scaling of new markets from the ground up, including hiring, ramping up and stabilizing local sales teams.
  • Sales System Architecture: Refine and optimize the "one-call close" sales methodology to maintain industry-leading conversion rates. Implement sales enablement tools and CRM processes to optimize lead utilization and performance visibility.
  • Revenue Operations: Oversee the integrity of CRM data and performance analytics to provide accurate forecasting and identify systemic opportunities for improvement. Own revenue forecasting, pipeline health, and conversion metrics across all markets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to align lead generation efforts with installation capacity and financial targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to pivot corporate strategy and maintain a competitive advantage in the home services market.
  • Culture & Performance: Design and implement comprehensive incentive structures, recognition programs, and recruitment strategies that reflect a "People First" culture. Recruit and develop elite field sales talent and future sales leaders. Build and scale a sales leadership bench to support multi-market growth.
