About The Position

Irontown Modular is looking for a Director of Sales to manage and oversee the sales team. This in-house individual will be experienced in selling and / or managing new construction. This individual will be guiding a sales team that work with multi-family and hospitality developers to move forward with their projects using modular construction. We focus on single and multi-family modular homes, allowing for complete customization of plan, specifications and building materials for each project, with a focus on sustainability and energy-efficient building. The sales director’s main focus will be managerial and technical consultation responsibilities centered on strategic leadership, team management, and revenue growth , bridging high-level strategy with practical sales execution, ensuring the entire sales organization drives sustainable revenue growth, involving developing sales strategies, setting targets, hiring and motivating sales team, managing budgets, collaborating cross-functionally (marketing, product), overseeing pipeline and forecasting, and reporting to executives, all to ensure the sales department aligns with overall business goals and maximizes market share. Experience in building material products, architectural and design services a must.

Requirements

  • Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategic plans to achieve sales revenue goals.
  • Create and communicate sales goals and ensure C-level executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
  • Set ambitious but achievable sales targets and KPIs for the team.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry standards to adapt positioning.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
  • Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
  • Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.
  • Team Leadership & Development: · Lead, mentor, and manage sales managers and representatives.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and onboard new sales talent.
  • Motivate the team, assign territories, and manage compensation plans.
  • Operations & Performance: · Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
  • Manage the sales budget and resources.
  • Ensure the sales process supports a seamless customer journey.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: · Partner closely with marketing, product, finance, and customer success teams.
  • Align sales efforts with broader company objectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: · Report sales performance, projections, and insights to executive leadership.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
