Responsibilities: This person will direct and oversee organizational compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, transportation, health, and safety laws and regulations. They will also provide direction on regulatory impacts to the Company. They will assess compliance risks and direct the company and staff to mitigate those risks. They will promote a culture of regulatory compliance through programs and policies. All duties should be performed in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

  • B.S. in one or a combination of the following: Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Physical Science, Engineering, Agronomy, Soil Science, Agriculture, Animal Science, or a closely related field
  • 10 Years’ experience managing/implementing laws and regulations or a compliance program.
  • You have or are willing to develop basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the Company’s regulatory compliance program.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain programs to ensure compliance with various federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Provide direction to staff and facilities on regulatory issues to maintain compliance.
  • Manage SER staff, provide direction/guidance in associated areas, assign tasks, and develop performance plans.
  • Translate and associate risk/impacts to the company of laws and regulations and provide specific details for the Executive staff to action in various divisions/departments.
  • Oversee all permitting and reporting requirements to ensure they are obtained/submitted as required for compliance.
  • Oversee remediation projects to ensure they are conducted appropriately.
  • Negotiate with regulatory agencies on behalf of the Company concerning Consent Orders, penalty demands, regulations, and permits.
  • Represent the Company in various regulatory and trade associations and committees.
  • Coordinate, collaborate, and partner with external organizations to enhance the effectiveness of the program.
