About The Position

The Director of Rooms is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall performance, strategy, and daily operations of the Rooms Division. This role oversees Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Reservations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and strong financial results. The Director of Rooms plays a critical role in shaping service culture, developing leaders, and collaborating across departments to support the success of Roost Rainey at Paseo.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience within hotel or extended-stay rooms operations
  • Proven experience managing Front Office and Housekeeping functions
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • High level of guest service and problem-resolution capability
  • Financial acumen with experience managing labor and departmental budgets
  • Proficiency with property management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all Rooms Division departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Reservations
  • Establish, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality
  • Ensure rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet cleanliness, maintenance, and property standards
  • Maintain a strong presence in operations, providing visible leadership and hands-on support when needed
  • Champion a guest-first service culture across all rooms-related departments
  • Monitor guest feedback, reviews, and satisfaction metrics; address concerns promptly and professionally
  • Partner with team leaders to continuously improve service delivery and personalize guest experiences
  • Manage Rooms Division budgets, labor productivity, and controllable expenses
  • Analyze occupancy, ADR, labor, and operational performance data to drive results
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management and Sales to support pricing, forecasting, and inventory strategies
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate Rooms Division leaders and team members
  • Build a high-performing, accountable, and engaged team culture
  • Conduct regular meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions
  • Support succession planning and internal development of future leaders
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Sales, Security, and Corporate teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Participate in executive leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, labor, and property standards
  • Support audits, inspections, and internal controls as required
