Laurel Heights Hospital is a 112-bed facility located in Atlanta Ga, dedicated to providing youth with compassionate mental health treatment that encourages self-responsibility and personal growth. The hospital offers psychiatric treatment to children and adolescents presenting with a broad range of psychiatric, behavioral disorders, and autism, utilizing a clinically skilled multidisciplinary team to partner with youth and families. The Director of Risk Management is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of various patient safety and risk management activities. This includes performance and oversight of claim management functions (investigation and analysis), performance of risk assessments (including new services), performance of root cause analysis for the system (including action plan tracking and facilitation), and management of the Patient Safety Council with incorporation of the corporate TERM program into the overall risk management program. The Director works collaboratively with department directors and the executive team to implement Corporate and Facility risk reduction strategies and provides expertise on regulatory and compliance standards and processes. The position entails data analysis, reporting, educating, providing leadership, and being accountable for related activities. Laurel Heights Hospital is part of Universal Health Services, Inc.
