About The Position

Goodside Health is currently seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle Management with both strategic leadership skills and the RCM expertise to drive the optimization of our revenue processes, ensuring sustainable growth and financial health for our organization. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing current and future strategies to bill patients and payors, process payments, minimize bad debt, improve cash flow, and manage the overall health of the company’s receivables. This role is also responsible for managing day-to-day activities, including but not limited to, front office services, billing, coding, collections, and accounts receivable. ABOUT GOODSIDE HEALTH Our pediatric urgent care line of business, Urgent Care for Kids, was founded in 2011 and operates thirteen clinic locations throughout Texas. We launched our novel SchoolMed offering in 2019 with the aim to advance the delivery of pediatric care. Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), as well as exceptional people skills.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with a problem-solving mindset and a focus on team engagement and transparency.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while working professionally, courteously, collaboratively, and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Financial/business acumen to include P&L interpretation skills, the ability to calculate cost benefit analysis and ROI, and the ability to help identify financial savings.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn electronic medical records software as well as other software applicable to revenue cycle management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 7 years in a related field with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with multi-location healthcare systems and EMR is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the RCM and Credentialing teams, driving efficiency and effectiveness in patient financial services, patient success services, collections, as well as improved compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop budgetary goals and initiate, communicate, and execute corrective actions to address variances.
  • Develop and oversee systems to optimize revenue, cash flow, and minimize bad debt.
  • Implement best practices and identify areas for improvement.
  • Increase efficiency of point of service collections.
  • Implement denial management and denial reporting.
  • Work closely with the leadership team, including Finance and Technology, to integrate strategic planning with patient services.
  • Build strong relationships with all departments and external consultants to achieve RCM goals.
  • Participate and consult in strategic business growth, development and innovation sessions, with a focus on RCM feasibility, compliance, and operational efficiencies.
  • Address regulatory and managed care issues in revenue cycle management.
  • Manage team responsible for responding to patient requests and communication regarding billing and EHR records.
  • Manage audit processes from payors as well as relevant federal, state, and local organizations.
  • Mentor the RCM team, enhancing their skills and fostering a high-performance, initiative-taking culture.
  • Establish and meet targets for accounts receivable efficiency, point of service collections, and additional relevant KPIs.
  • Communicate and track RCM metrics, as per Senior Leadership on an ongoing basis.
  • Facilitate transparency into the RCM and credentialing processes.
