About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Directs and manages employees that perform cardiopulmonary services including EEG Lab and EKG/Holter Lab. Ensures productivity standards are met and financial goals are met. Develops and implements policies and procedures in order to meet the facilities vision and mission. Assures employees follow the policies and procedures of the facilities.

Requirements

  • 4 to 5 years of management and supervisory experience.
  • Clinical experiences and theoretical/technical competence in all present specialized areas serviced by the Cardiopulmonary Department.
  • Assists the Medical Director in the technical aspects of teaching.
  • Supervise, development and implementation of policies, procedures, and annual clinical competency.
  • Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
  • Must be licensed by State of Texas to perform Respiratory Care under the guidelines of the Respiratory Care Practitioners Act.
  • Registered Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required, or 20 years of experience in Acute Respiratory Care considered in lieu of RRT credential.
  • Must have and maintain current BLS certification, according to unit specific needs. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider’s Program.
  • Must have and maintain current ACLS certification, according to unit specific needs. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider’s Program.
