About The Position

The Clinical Specialist Rehab must be a licensed Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist. This individual is responsible for evaluating, planning, educating, utilizing exercises and physical modalities in the treatment and rehabilitative of persons who have medical problems, health related conditions, or a developmental disability that limits their ability to move or perform functional activities according to their discipline specific scope of care. The Clinical Specialist Rehab also helps prevent conditions associated with loss of mobility and promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability to help individuals achieve healthy and active lifestyles. The Clinical Specialist Rehab assists in program management responsibilities. Some travel may be required in the provision of services between facilities and job functions. This position summary contains the most relevant duties, responsibilities and does not exclude other assignments not mentioned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to travel to facilities as needed
  • Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Lanuage Pathology program. Licensure in the State of Texas as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist is required.
  • Must have at least 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Must have and maintain current BCLS certification, according to unit specific needs. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider’s Program.
