About The Position

Croyle-Nielsen Therapeutic Associates (C-NTA) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, transformational leader to provide strategic and operational oversight of our Residential Services Department. The Director of Residential Services position requires a disciplined, accountable professional leader who can bring structure, develop consistency, set clear expectations, and deliver results through strong project management skills to a complex, fast-paced environment. The Director of Residential Services is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, staff accountability, and high-quality services across a 24/7 program. The ideal candidate is a decisive leader with strong systems thinking, the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines to completion, and the confidence to lead teams through change while maintaining stability, growth, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • A caring heart, a patient attitude, and a real passion for helping others succeed as well as the ability to lead effectively and efficiently.
  • A Master’s degree with 2+ years of IDD experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of IDD experience, complemented by a proven track record in a leadership role. Minimum of 5+ years in a high-level supervisory or director-level role, with a demonstrated ability to lead 24/7 operations.
  • Extensive experience in organizational development, specifically in building high-trust teams, improving employee retention, and navigating ever-changing regulations.
  • A proven history for accountability and ownership with the ability to hold staff to rigorous standards of excellence while maintaining a supportive and psychologically safe work environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage many moving parts simultaneously. Project management experience and a growth mindset. Strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution.
  • Ability to define expectations clearly and consistently with a high level of attention to detail and zero tolerance for missed deadlines.
  • Confidence leading and navigating difficult conversations professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Calm, decisive leadership style even in high-pressure or crisis situations.
  • Commitment to excellence, leadership, and strategic vision with the excitement to inspire and be a change agent.
  • Ability to complete several certifications such as Certified Investigator, Quality Management, etc. after 6 months of hire.?
  • An ability to pass background checks, physical, and drug screening which C-NTA pays for you
  • A valid PA driver’s license, reliable transportation, an ability to?transport?individuals safely?and to travel between group homes

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of C-NTA’s Residential Services department while leading the department through change and growth.
  • Build an inclusive workplace where staff at all levels feel seen, heard, and deeply valued, prioritizing a premier employee experience as the primary driver without jeopardizing the quality and credibility of the department.
  • Ensure quality care standards are exceeded, the health and wellness of our individuals are a top priority, and a culture of dignity, respect, and person-centered focus for all individuals receiving services is at the core of the department’s mission.
  • Serves as the “CEO” of the department according to ODP standards, oversees all Performance-Based Contracting measurements, and guarantees the department remains in full compliance with PA 6100 & 6400 regulations, licensing standards, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Lead and coach with confidence, holding the team accountable through quality enhancement reviews ensuring all program outcomes, audits, licensing readiness, and corrective action follow-through.
  • Mentor and retain a diverse team, fostering a work environment that combats burnout and promotes professionalism. Uphold the structure of the department, create a robust training program with clear expectations and boundaries across a large multidisciplinary team.
  • Exercise comprehensive fiscal oversight of the department’s budget, maximize unit utilization and revenue capture through proactive auditing and strategic resource allocation to ensure long-term program sustainability.
  • Serve as a high-impact, resilient, decisive, and visionary leader in a 24/7 residential environment, who empowers the best in their staff but sets a clear, elevated standard for the program’s future while maintaining the professional courage to address underperformance and realign team culture with the agency’s mission while ensuring every team member is fully invested in our collective success.
  • Champion a culture of transparent communication to align departmental operations with the broader agency mission, ensuring that the residential program is a high-performing, respected, and seamless partner offering successful collaboration across all service lines.
