About The Position

The Director of Recruitment & Internship Development will help lead the Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Strategy in terms of sourcing, screening, interviewing and will maintain business relationships supporting the growth and development of a driven organization committed to supporting individuals and communities with significant social and health disparities capacity to thrive and achieve well-being. They are responsible facilitating candidate interviews, managing databases, screening candidates, managing all placement advertising services, networking, creatively using resources to publish vacancies, and attract qualified candidates. They are also required to develop working relationships and partnerships to promote our agency and attract and retain qualified prospects.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of full life cycle recruitment
  • Technical proficiency with MS Office, intranet and internet-based tools, social-media tools (LinkedIn, social media), web-based recruiting and sourcing tools.
  • Ability to recruit for diverse candidates in strategic alignment with the organization’s staffing plans.
  • Knowledge of applied HR practices and guidelines.
  • High-level client and candidate relationship management skills.
  • Solid interpersonal communication skills, including verbal and written communications.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills; set expectations and communicate project milestones.
  • Ability to apply business acumen/ systems thinking to anticipate the organization’s needs, make effective decisions and influence across levels.
  • Strong cross-cultural competencies and ability to communicate effectively with diverse audience.
  • Passion for Gandara’s core mission and work.
  • Previous knowledge of (or ability to quickly gain understanding of) recruiting landscape across the organization.
  • Ability to source and engage passive candidates across diverse business sectors.
  • Ability to achieve results in complex, often ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize candidates and internal stakeholder needs.
  • Undergraduate degree in HR, business, marketing or related field
  • At least 5-6 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or equivalent experience.
  • Success in creating a positive customer experience for both the client (field partners) and candidate
  • Proven success in thriving in a fast paced and ever changing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience successfully conducting searches in a clinical or behavioral health organization is preferred.
  • Experience in nonprofit, behavioral health, recovery or human services a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop & implement effective and innovative sourcing and recruiting strategies to attract and source high quality candidates and interns for all levels of the organization.
  • Develop & implement effective recruiting strategies to attract Interns that can transition to successful employment in the agency.

  • Ability to develop and cultivate an opportunistic pipeline of talent
  • Manage the full life cycle hiring process – from research/sourcing to offer for either employment and/or internship.
  • Develop and maintain analysis and reporting metrics on recruiting funnel of internship candidates
  • Source and identify qualified passive candidates using creative, out of the box recruiting methods
  • Complete candidate assessments
  • Develop talent pool through creative sourcing techniques including referral generation, networking, and direct sourcing
  • Provide a high touch, thorough, top notch candidate experience
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and managers
  • Prepare and conduct search kick-off strategies and weekly search update meetings with hiring managers
  • Assist with the creation job descriptions and job postings for candidates and interns
  • Manage applicants’ and/or intern information and update status on UKG or similar applicant tracking software system
  • Evaluate candidate suitability
  • Provide candidates compelling understanding of Gándara Center’s values and culture
  • Guide candidates through successive rounds of interviews to include appropriate agency team members
