The Director of Provider Recruitment is responsible for leading provider recruitment efforts across Erie’s multiple locations. This role is critical to the success of supporting clinical operations and will serve as a key liaison between providers, department leadership, and administrative partners and stakeholders. The Director will provide a high touch experience for candidates and will serve as the key point of contact throughout the recruitment process and beyond. Requirements

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and trust with candidates and internal partners
  • Cultural competency to work with a diverse workforce and candidate pool
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple complex searches simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of recruitment needs in a healthcare setting
  • 5 years of provider recruitment
  • 10 years of experience in healthcare, with a minimum of 5 years working with a multi-site organization
  • Knowledge of medical office operations and workflows
  • BA or BS degree in a relevant field is required; a combination of education and relevant experience may be substituted for a formal degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working for an FQHC
  • 10+ years of provider recruitment
  • Master’s Degree a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leads recruitment efforts across multiple service lines and clinical sites for all Physician and Advance Practice Provider roles.
  • Serves as the primary contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, including facilitation of onsite interviews. Assesses candidate specific needs and coordinates visits with realtors, schools, and community tours, etc.
  • Coordinates all efforts related to provider onboarding and offboarding to ensure successful organizational integration and departures for all providers.
  • Works closely with the Credentialing team to ensure a timely start date.
  • Develops and maintains a strong talent pipeline through direct sourcing, networking, conference attendance, professional member organizations, and other relevant sources and efforts with a focus on both current and future provider needs.
  • In partnership with the CHRO and with input from various stakeholders, develops and executes the recruitment strategy for provider roles, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic plan of the organization to address current and future provider needs and to address known challenges.
