About The Position

A leading, century-strong construction company is shaping the future of renewable energy through solar, wind, and battery storage projects, grounded in safety, reliability, and excellence. We are seeking a strategic, experienced Director of Quality – Renewables who can define, lead, and scale enterprise-wide quality programs, inspire high-performing teams, and ensure every project is executed with pride, compliance, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 10–15+ years in QA/QC, construction leadership, or engineering, with a strong focus on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS).
  • Proven experience leading multi-project or multi-region quality programs with measurable performance improvements.
  • Deep knowledge of renewable installation standards, regulatory requirements, and quality systems.
  • Expertise in NCR management, audits, root-cause analysis, and data-driven quality decision-making.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills with the ability to partner effectively with field teams and executives.
  • Proficiency with QA software and reporting tools; willingness to travel nationwide to project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a consistent, enterprise-wide quality program across solar, wind, and battery energy storage (BESS) projects.
  • Define renewable quality standards, procedures, KPIs, and governance while ensuring flexibility for project-specific needs.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing multi-region quality teams, fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee audits, regulatory compliance, NCR management, and root-cause analysis to drive systemic prevention and minimize rework.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Safety, Estimating, and Commissioning teams to embed proactive quality into every project phase.
  • Serve as the senior quality representative to clients, AHJs, and third-party partners, resolving escalated issues with professionalism and transparency.
