About The Position

Job Summary: The Director of Quality Management is responsible for planning, administration and monitoring of consistent readiness of all quality management, regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes. The Director will oversee and coordinate all hospital effort to monitor and maintain compliance with all regulatory, state, federal government and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization Standards. The position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Office.

Requirements

  • RN license required.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Current BLS.
  • Minimum of three years in an acute care facility.
  • Demonstrates a clear working knowledge of general hospital operations, TJC, OSHA, Medicare COP and state requirements.
  • Minimum of two years experience in Quality Management preferred.
  • Must have coordinated TJC preparation and participated in State and CMS surveys within the past three years.
  • Highly organized; efficient and effective use of time and resources.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate teams, work with individuals having diverse needs/interests.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple work demands in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to delegate appropriately.
  • Ability to research and obtain needed information on broad range of topics.
  • Advanced knowledge of performance improvement and risk management techniques, tools and principles.
  • Advanced understanding/application of statistical methodologies.
  • Ability to establish short- and long-term departmental goals in alignment with organizations strategic plan.
  • Ability to act decisively and appropriately when the situation requires.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Process improvement training preferred.
