JOB SUMMARY The Director of Quality and Compliance develops and implements interventions and supports Union sites and teams in improvement initiatives to demonstrate excellent results in Union’s quality outcomes. This position is also responsible for carrying out the compliance activity of the organization to ensure the safety of patients, staff and the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in related field
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in healthcare leadership
  • Comprehensive understanding of improvement science and quality improvement tools
  • Thorough understanding of risk management and healthcare compliance
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform data analysis and prepare and present reports for a variety of audiences
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with all leadership and management positions within the organization as well as staff in all departments
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous responsibilities
  • In order to fulfill the requirements of this position, duties 1-11 considered essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes data and works with teams to connect daily work with outcomes to achieve a high performing, quality focused culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Leads development and implementation of Union’s quality and compliance initiatives including PCMH, FTCA, OSV, Quality and Compliance and Risk Management plans.
  • Ensures that each initiative to improve the quality performance at Union is supported by adequate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Coordinates across departments to maximize pay for performance and shared saving programs
  • Implement and oversee a corporate compliance program that ensures Union is fully compliant with all federal and state requirements for a Federally Qualified Health Center and health/mental health/dental care provider.
  • Implement a proactive Risk Management Program that aims to reduce the risk of adverse outcomes.
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with HRSA, 340B, CMS, CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and federal and state regulations.
  • Facilitate training in alignment with regulatory training requirements (OSHA, Safety/Risk Mgt, Infection Control, etc.).
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and create a safety culture based on education/training and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a detailed documentation system that provides for an audit trail of all UCC compliance and risk management activities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • This position is required to participate in mandatory all staff meetings, team meetings and trainings.
