About The Position

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Programs will work closely with Senior Leadership to ensure company goals and initiatives are met. They will have direct oversight of the Program Management team, including the Contracts Administrator. They will be responsible for budget, delivery and the overall success of each customer program. It is not unusual to have multiple concurrent responsibilities, so being highly organized and having a follow-through mindset is critical.

Requirements

  • Leadership Ability /Management Skills: Ability to able to balance between Leading a team and Managing a team. The Capacity to motivate team members, intercompany organizations and other divisions. Understanding how to hold a team accountable through management, while being a Leader through mentoring, coaching and positive reinforcement. Use of Leadership skills and the ability to manage without direct authority to influence across functional boundaries and across multiple organizational levels to drive results. Must be able to utilize resources, both people and equipment, in order to achieve company goals.
  • Must be able to exhibit integrity, credibility and professionalism.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to analyze and address complex issues and provide directions on timely resolution. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Director of Program must be extremely detail oriented and excel at conceptual thinking in order to understand all facets of an issue prior to presenting solutions. Must be able to make decisions and provide direction to all departments.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Above average presentation compiling and presenting with the ability to coach others on the same. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have above average knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and MRP manufacturing software.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience as a program director or other managerial position.
  • College degree and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Budget Review understanding and monitoring the budget for the each customer. Reviewing with PM’s and the GM on issues or concerns to mitigate impacting monthly and yearly revenue.
  • Program Managers build, manage, and support team members. Providing feedback and coaching, while resolving problems. Initiate and set goals for the program managers.
  • KPI Reports responsible for ensuring multiple daily reports are generated and distributed. Advise Senior Leadership of any items that could potentially impact business goals.
  • Company Initiatives responsible for supporting initiatives through attendance and participation in daily/weekly meetings. Able to suggest and contribute to the success of strategic initiatives.
  • Customer Relationships responsible for cultivating relationships with current and future customers. Monitor and support new packages to ensure on successful project completion. Ensure required reporting is being provided in a timely manner per each customers’ requirements.
  • Company Goals being able to effectively communicate and demonstrate the company’s mission, goals and culture with a follow-through mindset.
  • Enhancements working to improve the current the state of training, reporting, calculating, budgeting or business processes including possible technological enhancements to current processes.
  • Performance Indicators continuously extracting, analyzing, and communicating to leadership team members. This includes monitoring the performance of internal support organizations to ensure customer requirements are being met.
  • Special Projects responsible for supporting projects as they are assigned by the General Manager. Must possess the business acumen to successfully work on projects that fall outside of normal Director of Program role.
  • Strategies develop evaluations to monitor Program Manager Performance and determine the need for improvement.
  • Program Management Review with the use of visual metrics, presentation preparation for internal reporting on the health of each customer to Senior Leadership.
  • Obsolete Material reduce, review and track.
