About The Position

Little Stars Therapy Services is seeking an experienced clinical leader to step into the role of Director of Program Excellence. This position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes, strong operational execution, and audit-ready, compliant ABA programs across the organization. The Director of Program Excellence serves as a bridge between strategy and execution-partnering closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and operational staff to translate organizational goals into measurable, high-impact outcomes. This role is ideal for a BCBA leader who thrives at the intersection of clinical quality, systems thinking, data, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • BCBA certification in good standing
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ABA, behavioral health, or healthcare program management
  • Demonstrated success leading clinical and operational teams with measurable outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of ABA service delivery, payer requirements, and compliance frameworks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience scaling ABA or behavioral health programs across multiple sites
  • Background in process improvement, systems implementation, and cross-functional leadership

Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical quality systems aligned with organizational, regulatory, and accreditation standards
  • Lead internal audits of clinical documentation, treatment plans, and program compliance
  • Support preparation for payer, accreditation, and governing board audits
  • Guide clinical leadership on quality improvement initiatives and remediation efforts
  • Oversee day-to-day ABA program operations to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency
  • Translate strategic priorities into workflows, KPIs, and operational plans
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze performance metrics related to clinical quality, productivity, and utilization
  • Support caseload distribution, scheduling, and resource allocation across programs
  • Review completed safety and incident investigations in collaboration with HR and EHS
  • Provide clinical input on corrective actions and risk-reduction strategies
  • Meet with teams involved in incidents to debrief, coach, and support improvement
  • Ensure follow-up documentation meets regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Develop dashboards and reports tracking outcomes, compliance, and performance
  • Identify trends, systemic risks, and opportunities for improvement using data
  • Collaborate with Training and Internship leadership to support targeted interventions
  • Lead, mentor, and support clinical leaders and operational staff
  • Foster collaboration between clinical and administrative teams
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professional growth, and evidence-based practice
  • Provide direct oversight of the Senior Analyst (SBA) team during the transitional year
  • Coach and develop staff while maintaining performance and quality standards
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and succession planning for key roles
  • Support the transition of supervisory responsibilities to clinical leaders as appropriate
